On March 15, 2023, Fulbright Taiwan and international education representatives from 25 universities and colleges in the United States visited Tunghai University to encourage Taiwan-U.S. higher education exchanges and promote international cooperation. After the pandemic, representatives from both sides wish to reconnect and boost international exchanges in the future.

The delegation included two representatives from our partner universities – Azusa Pacific University and the University of South Florida. Other university representatives include the University of Illinois at Chicago, the University of Mississippi, the California State University-Sacramento, the University of California-Santa Barbara…and so on. All the representatives are dedicated to international education and wish to share their experiences and ideas with Tunghai university representatives.

Tunghai University representatives are Vice President Dr. Jeng Liu, Chief International Officer Dr. Min-Hsun Liao, Dean of the International College Dr. James Sims, Dean of the College of Engineering Dr. Chin-Yin Huang, and Director of International Business Administration Program Dr. Yi-Chi Yevvon Chang attended the reception to share their international education experiences during the meeting.
In addition, four visiting scholars from the United Board, Dr. Giovanni Macahig from Silliman University, Philippines and Dr. Nguyen Thanh Trung from Vietnam National University, Vietnam, Dr. Eko Budi Santoso from Sanata Dharma University, Indonesia, and Br. Augustin Joseph from Salesian College Sonada, India, is also invited to exchange ideas about international education in their countries.

Vice President Dr. Jen Liu gave a welcome remark to all the guests today and wishes to have a chance to establish partnerships with all the universities and promote international mobility between the institutions. Tunghai wishes to deepen the connection between Taiwan and U.S. higher education through this visit.
Dr. Mary Wang represents the Fulbright delegation to thank Tunghai's hospitality and welcome them to such a beautiful campus. All the delegates have taken these great opportunities to understand Tunghai better and look forward to exchanging opinions during the discussion.

Both representatives have a pleasant talk during their visit. They were also amazed by Tunghai University's considerable efforts to promote campus internationalization. Through this visit, both sides wish to encourage international cooperation and mobility in the future between Taiwan and U.S. higher education.
