As per the decision by the Board of Directors of AACSB International, the College of Management, Tunghai University, has extended business accreditation for five years as of January 26, 2023. The college will continue to deepen and innovate global business education on a par with top-five-percent leading business schools worldwide.
AACSB-accredited since February 2018, the College of Management and its faculty, students, professional staff, alumni, and business associates have undertaken a diversity of continuous improvement actions aligned with AACSB Business Standards in terms of engagement, innovation, and impact over the past five years. In November 2022, a peer review team (PRT) invited by AACSB International visited the college for the Continuous Improvement Review (CIR). Two PRT members, Chair Terry O'Neill, Dean of the Business School at Bond University in Australia, and Dr. Lailani Alcantara, Dean of the College of International Management at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University in Japan, travelled to campus in parallel with an online visit by Dr. Eko Suwardi, Former Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Gadjah Mada in Indonesia. Over the visit, Dean Shu-Hsing Li and close-to-120 stakeholder representatives of the College of Management have participated in 14 review sessions with the PRT having highly appreciated the college's outstanding achievements and progresses from pioneering research, excellent teaching, practical collaboration, to global exchange in the past five years. The three members also proposed invaluable advice on the college's responses to key challenges from local and global recruitment and faculty development in bilingual education.
Currently, the College of Management hosts the Departments of Business Administration, International Business, Accounting, Statistics, Finance, and Information Management with a bilingual cross-department Global Elite Program in partnership with global leading business schools. Its EMBA opens classes for corporate CEOs, successors, and executives with innovative precision teaching that aims to promote professionalism and career. The college's English-taught Global MBA integrates advanced courses in global management and business analytics and has attracted future business leaders with diverse cultural and education backgrounds to enhance knowledge and global mobility. While accreditation for the college's undergraduate and master-level programs have been maintained, the college's PhD program is also AACSB-accredited following this review.
With this successful five-year accreditation review by AACSB International, the College of Management has turned over a new page and is to strengthen alumni and corporate networks across countries and industries and integrate university resources at all levels to inspire global perspectives and leadership for all stakeholders and take a further step toward the college's sustainable development and internationalization in the long term.
