The French Short Film Festival named "20 Ultra Short Films in 2020" was held on March 25th to 27th by the European Language Program of the Foreign Languages and Literature Department (FLLD). Twenty ultra-short French films, each being no longer than five minutes, presented twenty small worlds through different themes, styles and forms. French director Cédric Jouarie joined an audience of over 100 people and shared his views on the films.
French director Cédric Jouarie shares his views
Dreaming of becoming a movie director since childhood, Jouarie found himself moving towards the goal of film directing in every stage of his working career. From his earlier work he built concepts and trainings of scene framing and started to create his own short film works. He encouraged students to remember that efforts and enthusiasm can take us to far-away places, that it is important to have dreams in your life and to make them come true.

The European Language Program of the Foreign Languages and Literature Department of Tunghai University offers French language courses and encourages students to take courses related to European languages so as to nurture students with second foreign language expertise, to promote internationalization and enhance students' competitive employability, and to cultivate multi-language talents.
