The Dean of International College (IC), Professor James Sims, visited Tunghai alumni in California and promoted the International College. Visit to the Northern California Alumni Association was on February 2, and to the Southern California Alumni Association was on February 9. More than 30 alumni joined the events, with some coming from San Diego and Las Vegas. These alumni graduated from 1962 to 2012, making it a rare cross-century gathering!

The Tunghai International College offers two full English-taught Bachelor’s degree programs in "International Business Administration (IBA)” and in "Sustainability Science and Engineering (SSE)". The curricula take focus on professional subjects while supplementing them with trainings in innovation, entrepreneurship, implement ability and cross-domain leadership. The unique “Global Leadership Program” stems from the idea of general education in the US. It is designed on the basis of global leadership and holistic personality development, expanding to the areas of contemporary politics, economy, society, history, culture, arts, ecosystem, and global citizenship.

In addition, the IC employs a Mentor system. In the full-English learning and living environment, the Mentors, who are young college graduates themselves, accompany the students through classroom lectures, case discussions and daily interactions. IC students are provided with a convenient pathway to develop their breadth and depth of thinking, to improve language skills, to lay the foundation for overseas study, and to be connected to the world.
