British Writer Robert Bickers Speaks at FLLD Master Program

British writer Robert Bickers was invited by the Foreign Languages and Literature Department (FLLD) to give a lecture at Tunghai University. Dr. Bickers received his PhD from the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London and is a British historian. He is a professor of history at University College of Bristol. Through Professor Bickers’ lecture, students gained extensive understanding in English and American literature, and were able to recognize remarkable issues and concepts of literary criticism and theory.

The Master’s program of Tunghai FLLD regularly invites domestic and foreign experts and scholars for academic exchanges and sharing. Perspectives of the East and the West, as well as comparative, critical, and cross-disciplinary research methods are developed through such activities. The FLLD endeavors to promote international faculty and student exchanges to enhance global insights and teaching abilities.
