Tunghai University Honored with “Friendly Campus Award”

Founded with the spirit of Christian fraternity, Tunghai University has highlighted the following in the founding memorandum in 1952: to "create people with unique visions and life-long devotions" and to "create servants in addition to cultivating leaders." The school motto, "Truth, Faith, Deeds", means " to glorify Him by deeds with the truth obtained through faith. "
Student Affairs Dean Lo said that student counseling follows such founding spirit and guides our students in strengthening a proactive and responsible attitude toward life. He quoted the Bible passage, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life”, as the guideline for laying out a stronghold of love and secure learning environment for all students.

The Tunghai Student Affairs Office integrates internal and external resources to promote student training and spiritual integrity programs. Special assistance is offered to students who are disadvantaged with educational resources. Three major efforts are secure education, counselling network, and integral training system. Measures such as setting up dedicated mentors, establishing holistic liberal arts learning environments, designing a four-stage servant leader training are taken to better equip our students with systematic and multi-dimensional life trainings as well as professional education. THU students are required to pass dual certification before graduation.
