Tunghai University-News--Tunghai Hosts International Conference on English Teaching and Learning

The 36th International Conference on English Language Teaching and Learning was held in Tunghai University.
Three keynote speakers -- Professor Ching Sing Chai from Chinese University of Hong Kong, Professor Jozef Colpaert from University of Antwerp, Belgium, and Professor Robert Kleinsasser from Arizona State University, USA, outlined the vibrant status and future trends of international pedagogy. Besides three keynote speeches, highlights of the conference include an invited colloquium on “Border-Crossing Between Technology and ELT” led by Prof. Hsien-Chin Liou (Feng Chia University), Prof. Meei-Ling Liaw (National Taichung University of Education), Prof. Wen-chi Vivian Wu (Asia University), and Prof. Yu-Chuan Joni Chao (Providence University), and an invited speech given by English teachers of Taichung Municipal Chungming Senior High School sharing first-hand experiences teaching English in classrooms.

The 36th International Conference on English Language Teaching and Learning received 119 contributed papers, from which 68 were selected to be presented in the conference. There were 57 oral presentations and 11 poster presentations made by students from different countries.
