Tunghai University-News--The 8th Taiwan-Italy International Internship Program Presentation
The 8th TIP Taiwan Italy International Internship Program-Presentation was held on June 21, 2018. All the program-participated students were invited to present the results of the program. The coordinator, Professor Paolo Carbone, from Università degli Studi di Perugia, Italy, also attended the presentation.
Prof. Carbone stated that he was delighted to be invited to come to Taiwan for the TIP presentation for the 8th year. Students can get the different working experiences through the program and learn to work with people with various cultures. The program connects works, people, and international business; it provides the students with new knowledge and with the opportunities to understand the similarities and differences between people. He congratulated on the new participants and is looking forward to meeting them in September in Italy.
The Director of Center for International Internship Development, Prof. Hsu, En-Te, expressed his appreciation for Prof. Carbone’s support in the past eight years. According to Director Hsu, TIP is an important program of academic and business cooperation. They have always tries to improve the program year by year and to search for more cooperative opportunities with various business and students; the overseas Chinese students and international students are also invited to participate in the program to experience the culture of Taiwanese business. In this year, the Center of International Internship Development launched the E-newsletter; they are trying to provide the readers with more information about the programs and cooperative business. The manager of the center, Ms. Chen, Hsin-Yu, invited everyone to submit their articles to share the experiences of internship and to encourage more students to participate in the program and the contribution will be with remuneration.
Besides, the four former interns shared their experience in Italy. Ms. Liu, Yu-Han explained her daily routine while being an intern in an Agriculture Machinery Company. The recognition of different cultures and working experience became two important lessons for her. Ms. Chen, Lu-Jin stated that it was a great honor for her to participate in this program and she had received lots of assistance from the center. In addition, she expressed her best regards for those who will start the program in September to enjoy the lives and works in Italy. She encouraged them to be a punctual and responsible intern and to keep record their everyday lives during the program because it will become an advantage in the future working life. “Be a crazy person to keep all the memories in mind!” Ms. Chang, Jui-Shan is now working in an Italian Furniture Company in Taiwan; due to her experience of internship in Italy, she got the opportunity to have the business trip in Italy. Finally, Ms. Lee, You-Rong reminded everyone to keep the original intention of joining the program and provided the suggestions about the lives in Italy. She hoped hat the participant will have a safe trip and receive irreplaceable experience in the program.
At the end of the presentation, Prof. Carbone and Prof. Hsu continued the discussion with the students about more details of the internship. The 8th TIP Presentation ended successfully and the students’ new stories in Italy is just beginning.
