According to Dean of Poya School, Dr. Wang, Wei-Hua, there will be different obstacles and challenges in students’ lives. The alumnus, Mr. Cheng, Ching-He, also shared his experiences with the graduates. He mentioned that in order to face the challenges in the society, students should equip themselves with skills of technology and English ability. Besides, they should be mentally and physically health and keep learning. Although these are not the big theory, they are important and useful for lives. With the story of “The Tortoise and the Hare,” Mr. Cheng encouraged the students to have the attitude of the Tortoise; that is, knowing your own weakness and working hard to recover it. Only when you have the strong desire of learning, you can step the stone to success.
In addition, the alumna, Mr. Lai, Chou-Ming stated that Poya students have shared delightful memories together in these four years. Although everyone will leave for the different areas, we are working for the same better future. PoYa School Alumni Association prepared a video and designed card for graduates and wishes them with a bright future.
The graduates chose the songs, including “It’s me,” “Best Friends Forever,” “Soaring against the Wing,” and “Listen to Teacher’s Words,” to remind of the obstacles and challenges they encountered in the past and to express their appreciation for the professors and friends. The revised versions made the performances warm and joyful. The other Poya students also prepared the presents, cards, and warm hugs for the graduates. In the end of the ceremony, the under graduated students sang the song “When we went through it all together” to express their best regards for the graduates.
The graduation ceremony was filled with the endless regards, love, care and appreciation. The hugs and smiles left the ceremony and the graduates with a warm ending for their university lives.
