Vice President Yang remarked that the university’s achievements in architecture and design have gained well-deserved recognition through objective indicators. He also emphasized that many other departments at Tunghai—including law, political science, finance, accounting, business administration, chemistry, materials science, electrical engineering, and Japanese studies—are equally recognized by industry, and that the university will continue striving to highlight its comprehensive strengths.
Huang Yu-Chun, General Manager of 104 Job Bank, explained that the rankings focus on whether universities effectively cultivate talent aligned with industry demands and future trends. The evaluation is based on 12 major indicators and 105 sub-indicators, integrating data from 104’s extensive database, surveys of corporate HR professionals, publicly available data from the Ministry of Education, and international rankings. The initiative aims to help universities identify their strengths and future directions through over 30 years of accumulated data.

President Chang further emphasized that a university’s brand influence is built upon the long-term efforts of faculty, students, alumni, governance strategies, and social reputation. Tunghai University is committed to its vision of becoming a “future-oriented university,” moving toward an Open Loop School model. Through flexible systems and innovative teaching approaches, the university fosters a student-centered learning environment where teachers serve as facilitators and mentors.
