Tunghai University and Good Sound Creative officially launched the “AI News Studio,” signing an MOU on AI television server collaboration and news platform development on the 13th.
Following the recent establishment of its high-performance computing center, Tunghai University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Good Sound Creative on the 13th to co-develop an AI-powered television and news platform. By integrating advanced computing power into AI-driven news production, the initiative aims to empower both academic research and experiential learning through cutting-edge technology. Chairman Tsu-Yin Pan explained that the platform was developed over nearly a year of system design and testing, resulting in a fully autonomous AI-driven news and multimedia production system. He emphasized that video content generation requires substantial computing resources, and Tunghai’s computing center provides the stability and performance needed to significantly enhance both the quality and scalability of production. In the future, text, voice, and video will be seamlessly integrated and generated within a single platform, opening new possibilities for AI education and real-world applications.

The signing ceremony was attended by President Kuo-En Chang, Chairman Tsu-Yin Pan, Technical Director Yu-Chin Chen, and Tunghai University’s senior leadership team.
The signing ceremony was attended by President Chang; Chairman Pan; Technical Director Yu-Chin Chen; Tunghai Vice President Cheng Liu; Academic Affairs Dean Ting-Ya Yang; Student Affairs Dean Feng-Di Lung; University Librarian Chao-Tung Yang; International Affairs Dean Min-Hsun Liao; Director Chao-Hsi Huang; Dean Jacob Hsing of the International College; and Dean Shu-Fen Hsiao of the College of Law, along with other senior administrators.
President Chang noted that Tunghai has, in recent years, made AI and computing infrastructure a cornerstone of its educational strategy. By building a high-speed computing environment, the university enables faculty and students to engage in hands-on learning within real-world scenarios, cultivating a new generation of talent equipped with both professional expertise and technological literacy. He added that Good Sound Creative, with its extensive experience in audio media and digital content production, is the first industry partner to collaborate with Tunghai’s advanced computing center. The platform adopts an “authoring tool” approach, allowing customized local news production systems and expanding possibilities for education and learning. In the future, such applications could extend to sectors such as healthcare and government, creating new models for AI-driven content production.

Chairman Pan further shared that Good Sound Creative initially received support from Google-backed initiatives to produce multimedia content. However, faced with the limitations of a small team, the company began exploring how AI could optimize production workflows. This led to the development of the one-click AI video generation platform “VidReel,” now being implemented in real-world scenarios. As computing power continues to advance, both production quality and scalability will improve, enabling ongoing experimentation and innovation. Drawing on over 30 years of experience in the media industry, Pan observed that traditional news production is labor-intensive, while shifting audience habits have challenged conventional broadcasting models. Although AI cannot create news itself, it can fundamentally reshape production processes and help the industry adapt to a rapidly changing environment. He expressed particular appreciation for President Chang’s vision and support.
