Amid the global surge of artificial intelligence, Tunghai University is once again redefining the possibilities of education. Through a fully AI-generated cinematic production, the university brings the iconic figure of Albert Einstein—a symbol of human intellect—into its campus, where he appears alongside students in a cross-temporal dialogue. The imagery of a futuristic airship soaring above campus represents expanded horizons and boundless potential, illustrating a new vision of AI-integrated learning. This initiative reflects Tunghai’s forward-looking philosophy: “AI Tunghai—Generating the Future, Learning to Innovate.”

Tunghai University reimagines education through a 100% AI-generated production, featuring Einstein on campus and a futuristic airship symbolizing expanded horizons in AI-integrated learning.
Over the past five years, Tunghai University has made significant strides in advancing AI education. Its efforts include comprehensive upgrades to hardware infrastructure, with over NT$100 million invested in AI PC classrooms and high-performance computing centers. The university has also formed strategic partnerships with leading industry players such as AIDC and Wistron to jointly cultivate AI talent and develop innovative curricula. These initiatives have contributed to the university’s strong performance in global rankings. In the 2026 QS Asia University Rankings, Tunghai ranked 228th in Asia and 15th in Taiwan, placing first among private non-medical universities. It has also consistently excelled in sustainability and was ranked among the top 100 worldwide in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings.
Following last year’s widely acclaimed AI-generated music video—composed of 70% AI-generated content and highly popular among younger audiences—Tunghai now launches a brand-new AI-themed campaign and institutional film as part of its 70th anniversary celebration. Under the educational vision of “AI Tunghai, Learn to Innovate,” the university takes another bold step toward the future.

President Kuo-En Chang emphasized that at Tunghai, AI is both a tool and an environment. However, education is never solely about technological investment—people remain the true protagonists. He noted that cultivating students’ values, sense of responsibility, and vision for the future remains a core mission of higher education. “We see AI as an opportunity for the rebirth of the university,” he said, adding that Tunghai is committed to equipping students with the ability to apply knowledge and solve real-world problems, preparing them to thrive in the age of intelligence.
Distinguished alumnus Ching-Ho Cheng of the Department of Chemical Engineering has been a key advocate of AI initiatives since 2019, supporting the university in integrating generative AI into both curriculum and student learning portfolios. This year, he contributed to the development of a new TPR (Teaching–Practice–Research) themed video, centered on the concept of “AI as teacher, professors as coaches.” The video highlights how AI is transforming education—enhancing students’ critical thinking, creativity, and interdisciplinary integration—while reinforcing the principle of “Learn to Innovate” as a core educational value.

The concept “AI as teacher, professors as coaches” highlights the transformation of education, fostering innovation, critical thinking, and self-directed learning among future talents.
President Chang also referenced the founding vision of Tunghai’s first president, Yueh-Nung Tseng, who declared at the university’s inauguration, “Pioneering will be our watchword.” Innovation has remained at the heart of Tunghai’s educational philosophy. Looking ahead, Chang expressed hope that the university will continue to move forward boldly, encouraging individuals to embrace a pioneering spirit and selfless dedication—values essential for the progress of both the university and society.
According to the Office of Public Affairs, the newly released film—from Einstein’s cross-temporal appearance on campus to the symbolic ascent of a futuristic airship—does more than visualize technological imagination. It represents a commitment to education in the age of AI. Tunghai aspires to empower students to embrace technology, generate meaningful ideas, and create sustainable innovations, ultimately unlocking limitless possibilities for the future.
