A delegation from THU partner institution Malaysian Institute of Art (MIA) led by its Chairman of the Board Mr. Ee Ping Khoo and President Ms. Tian Peak Lim visited Tunghai University, accompanied by Tunghai alumnus Mr. Teck Kong Yau, an esteemed supporter of higher education cooperation between Taiwan and Malaysia and a Board member of MIA.

THU Dean of the Office Academic Affairs Prof. Liang-Kong Lin hosted the visit and chaired a meeting of institutional presentations attended by Dean of college of Fine Arts and Creative Design Prof. Shi-wei Lo and representatives from department of industrial design and department of Music. MIA chairman Ee and president Tian introduced the institution and its intention to build progression partnership with THU. Visits to departments of Industrial Design, Architecture, Music, and Fine Art were arranged after the meeting. Both the visitors and the THU faculty were happy with the discussion and felt promising in achieving a consensus of academic cooperation scheme in the near future.
