Tunghai University and Rutgers University Sign 3+2 Joint Degree Program

Tunghai University's Management College started its Global Elite Program in the Fall semester of 2019. The program envisions joint degree program with several renowned US university, including Rutgers University, University of Texas at Dallas, University of Rhode Island, and University of South Florida. Students will be enriched with international connections and employability through the 5-year program.
Tunghai and Rutgers sign 3+2 dual degree program agreement
The signing ceremony of the 3+2 joint degree program with Rutgers University was held on October 14 at Tunghai University and signed by Assistant Dean Dr. Dietrich Tschanz of Rutgers Business School and President Prof. Mao-Jiun Wang of Tunghai. In his remarks, President Wang praises Rutgers University for its significant educational environment which will complement the highlighted liberal arts education at Tunghai. Students through such dual training will be equipped with better global awareness and better international mobility. Dean Hong-Gee Chen of Tunghai College of Management mentions that the College will bolster its portfolio in courses related to AI technology trends. The courses in combination with the strength in big data and intelligent services of Rutgers will bring win-win achievement to both institutions and benefit students.

The Global Elite Program in Tunghai College of Management was established in response to the trend of increasing Taiwanese high-school graduates going abroad to pursue further studies and that internationalized curriculum has become one of the major criteria for high-schoolers in choosing universities. The Tunghai Global Elite Program encompasses conventional departmental courses offered in business administration, international business, accounting, statistics, financial management, and information management. Dual-mentor system ensures the students receive sufficient guidance and all required courses will be taught in English to prepare them for future learning needs while studying abroad. There are 2+2 and 3+2 programs available in the programfor students to choose.

The College of Management of Tunghai University has become an AACSB accredited institution since February 2018 and has since established international cooperation relationship with major business schools such as Harvard Business School, London Business School, and Guanghua School of Management of Beijing University. The newly-signed agreement with Rutgers creates more opportunities for generating mutual benefits in providing high quality education to young talents.
