The international Director Dr. Jodie Ferise of Indianapolis University and staff member Ms. Ghina George-Sadek visited Tunghai University for the third time on March 19, 2008. They were hosted by Chief International Officer Ya-Ping Tsai of Tunghai University.
The University of Indianapolis (UIndy) was founded in 1902 and ranked 38th in the Midwest Regional University in the 2019 US News and World Report.
Dr. Jodie Ferise said that he hopes to restart the exchange between the two universities and promote international cooperation projects through this visit. The University of Indianapolis established a good sister school relationship with Tunghai University in 1990. However, due to the change of personnel in recent years, the interactions were reduced.
In addition to in-depth exploration of the past cooperation methods of the two universities, the visit also hopes to enhance the international mobility of students from both schools by exchanging student programs and encouraging bilateral students to communicate.
Dr. Jodie Ferise personally loves the beautiful campus environment of Tunghai University. He also mentioned that if there is an opportunity in the future, he hopes to promote the exchange of faculty members between the two universities, joint research between departments, teaching in different places, and open more bilateral cooperation projects.
