Starting March 16th, the Japanese Corridor sets forth a regular open conversation forum at the Humanities Building every Thursday during the lunch break. Casual conversations in Japanese language with weekly topics will be designated. Students and Faculties are welcome to drop by.
The ‘Japanese Corridor’ activity is set up by the students in the Department of Japanese Language and Culture together with students originated from Japan. The activity aims to provide students with opportunities to practice oral and daily conversations in Japanese language beside the grammatical trainings in class and to utilize the vocabulary learned in class. Auxiliary games/activities are designed according to the weekly topic to act as ice-breakers for the starting the conversations. A second target will be to increase the interactions between local and Japanese students on campus.
Japanese has been the second popular second language in Taiwan. Through the setup of the Japanese Corridor, we hope to better achieve a multi-lingual international campus.
