Mr. Ching-Sung Lee, Dean of the Lawyers’ Academy, mentioned that the Lawyers’ Academy, inaugurated in October 2019, was established to promote on-the-job training for lawyers. So far, it has organized medical law courses and this family lawyer training course. In the future, professional academic committees will be set up in real estate law, labor law, construction and engineering law, financial and securities law, tax law, medical law and intellectual property law to organize various cross-disciplinary courses to meet the rapidly changing and diverse societal needs.

The Family Lawyer Professional Training Course is formulated by the Lawyers’ Academy of Taiwan Bar Association and the Social Work Department of Tunghai University. It is organized by the Family Law Course Committee, and implemented by Tunghai University, Taiwan Bar Association, Taichung Bar Association, Changhua Bar Association, Nantou Bar Association, and Legal Aid Foundation. Academic and practice experts, renowned lawyers, scholars, judges, and NPO experts will be lecturers to the 100 practicing lawyers in the program.
