In order to promote international education and programs, the Office of International Education and Programs (OIEP) held the 2018 International Education Fair from May 8 to 10th. The Fair was held in a busy section of campus and visited by many students over the course of the three days.
On May 8th 2018, Dean Yen, Hong-Wei and Associate Dean Dr. Vynckier participated in the opening activity.
The International Fair was divided into four regions, including Europe & America, East Asia (HK, Korea, Japan), Southeast Asia, and China. OIEP prepared posters and other promotional materials about our partner universities and long-term and short-term programs. The coordinators also provided the students who were interested in the programs with detailed information and answered their inquiries. In addition, overseas experience sharing reports from students who had previously participated in international programs were also displayed.

In addition to the booths, OIEP also arranged three seminars for students. On May 8th, 5 students shared their experience in partner universities. On May 10th, we invited the manager of the Australia Office to give students some information about “Studying abroad in Australia.” On May 14th, OIEP cooperated with The European Language Program of the Foreign Languages and Literature Department to have Dr. Josef Goldberger, the director of the DAAD Information Center Taipei, and Ms. Rebecca Madlener, the lecturer of OeAD (Austrian Institute) to lecture on “Living and Studying in Germany and Austria: What you need to know!”
Dr. Jesef Goldberger and Ms. Rebecca Madlener shared information about studying in Germany and in Austria.
By means of the series of seminars and the information booths, OIEP hopes to increase students’ interest in overseas education. We also expect that every student will have the courage to leave their comfort zone to explore the world and achieve the goal of “Dare to Dream, Dare to Fly!”
