Guided by the Industrial Parks Administration under the Ministry of Economic Affairs and organized by the Library and Office of Information Services at Tunghai University, together with partners from the Taichung Software Park Industry–Academia Training Alliance and various industry and government sectors, the 2025 Taiwan Digital Innovation Awards concluded successfully on the 7th. This year’s competition reached a historic milestone with a record-breaking 181 registered teams, from which 16 exceptional teams were selected as award winners. Among them, Tunghai University distinguished itself by claiming both the Corporate Special Award and the Digital+ Division Honorable Mention, making the university one of the highlights of this year’s event.

The Taiwan Digital Innovation Awards have become one of the most influential and prestigious annual competitions for university students across the country. Centered on the goals of industry–academia synergy, innovation cultivation, and intelligent creativity, the competition has solidified its importance as a platform for deep collaboration among industry, government, and academia. Director of the Library and Office of Information Services at Tunghai University, Dr. Chao-Tung Yang, remarked:
“The enthusiastic response to this year’s event demonstrates the growing national impact of the Digital Innovation Awards. Tunghai University has long upheld a student-centered educational philosophy and has deepened its commitment to industry–academia collaboration. Our mission is not only to train students in programming, but also to equip them with business thinking and the ability to solve real industry challenges. We are pleased to see innovative projects that exhibit creativity, commercial value, and practical applicability.”

The highly anticipated Corporate Special Award was sponsored by two leading enterprises—SYSTEX Corporation and Geniatech Inc. The purpose of this award is to identify projects with strong commercialization potential, demonstrating industry’s firm support for young innovators and reinforcing meaningful industry connections.
Amid intense competition, Tunghai University teams delivered outstanding performances and secured two major honors. The Corporate Special Award went to the team “DouZhen AI,” led by Professor Cheng-Hsiung Lee from the Master’s Program in Digital Innovation. Their project, “Fist Evolution APP,” impressed the judges with its real-time boxing training system and data-driven analysis, precisely addressing key market needs in sports technology.
Meanwhile, the team “MEGA-T Tech,” advised by Professor Shih-Wei Chen from the Department of Computer Science, earned the Digital+ Division Honorable Mention with their project “AI Fashion Shopping Guide Platform,” which leverages AI-powered recommendations to enhance online shopping experiences. Together, these achievements highlight Tunghai University’s strong capabilities in cultivating talent in AI, digital content, and intelligent technologies.

The success of the 2025 Taiwan Digital Innovation Awards once again showcases Tunghai University’s excellence in digital innovation and smart AI talent development. Moving forward, Tunghai University will continue to use this competition as a core platform to foster deeper collaboration among industry, government, and academia—injecting new energy and technological momentum into the Taichung Software Park and the broader Central Taiwan economic region, and jointly advancing toward the next chapter of Taiwan’s technological future.
