The International Sculpture Symposium in Tunghai University brings you public art displayed on campus from November 22nd to December 7th. This event features 10 sculptures with the spirit of Tunghai and the university’s natural environment.

International Sculpture Symposium Opening Ceremony
The College of Fine Arts and Creative Design invites international artists Filin Gheorghi (Italy), Nando Alvarez (Spain), Liliya Pobornikova (Bulgaria), Ariel Moscovici (France), Zhao Li (China) and local artists Wen Hai Lin, Hwei-Lan Chang, Tai-Yang Chiu, Asing. Sawake, Amis, Song-En Luo. The workshop hosted by the artists offers students the opportunity to engage in the creation and installation of sculptures.

International artists shared their thoughts about the art pieces
The opening ceremony on November 27th was a fascinating event. A lively performance by the students of the Department of Music greeted hundreds of attendees including entrepreneurs, faculty, staff members and students. After the speech by President Mao-Jiun Wang, Professor Wen Hai Lin led the public art tour and launching ceremony. Along the way, guests communicated with artists and had Q&A session.

The venues of the International Sculpture Symposium are located in Student Residence Halls in the Second Teaching Area (72, 73 dormitory). We welcome all to visit and appreciate the beauty of Tunghai University.
