AIT currently has 2300 students from over 50 countries/territories; among these over 1000 are postgraduate students. The institution also works with public and private sector partners throughout the region as well as with some of the top universities in the world. AIT is especially reputable in its academic achievements in the areas of civil engineering, environmental science and information technology. It has cultivated many outstanding graduates who are making significant contributions to the development of the society. Notable former government officials in Taiwan such as Deputy Minister of Communications Mr. Shi-Chi Chen and Director of the RET-SER Engineering Agency Mr. Yuan-Yi Tseng were both AIT alumni. With the new dual degree agreement in place, Tunghai and AIT will create further cooperation in delivering quality engineering education to young people that will have better understanding of cultural diversities and academic experiences.
