Tunghai University-News--The 2016 Overseas Chinese Students Sports Competition Turns out a Great Success
The Tunghai Badminton Team went through three months of training after being established. They increased the stability of their skills and body endurance by running and weight training. Mutual trust and dependency was also their strongest weapon. Team captain, a sophomore student majoring in Business Administration, Hsing-Yien Lee said that, during the championship game to Chung Cheng University, when the rival team won two points and came to a step away from the championship, all team members of Tunghai had only one belief in mind─ never give up. Finally, they turned defeat into victory, winning the championship by 3 to 2.
Besides badminton, girls’ basketball, boy’s basketball, soccer, and volleyball teams all played hard to the last second of the competition. The cheers and chants of Tunghai University supporters echoed across all corners of the sports field and gym, demonstrating high spirits committed to Tunghai. At last, the Tunghai teams brought back a champion in badminton competition, the third place in girls’ basketball, the forth place in boys’ basketball, and the sixth place in volleyball. With such quality of teamwork, there is no problem that they can conquer future challenges and achieve outstanding accomplishments.
