The results of the "2023 Corporate Favorite University Survey" showed Tunghai University making significant progress to become the top private university in central and southern Taiwan. The rise in the rankings comes with Tunghai’s long-term promotion of liberal arts education, enhancing autonomous learning, and cultivating students with both humanities and scientific knowledge through experiential and hands-on learning methods, which has earned recognition from the corporate sector.
The survey was conducted by 1111 Job Bank in cooperation with the TUN University Network. In the "Private University Rankings" category, Tunghai University outstood all entries, not only moving up seven spots but also ranking third nationwide and becoming the top private university in central and southern Taiwan. Tunghai University pointed out that in response to a declining birth rate, many universities are striving to transform themselves by developing teaching methods that align with the needs of the workplace. According to the survey, the top five employment indicators are problem-solving ability, communication and coordination skills, teamwork ability, professional knowledge, and the ability to learn quickly, all of which are related to Tunghai University's emphasis on student learning and career development.

Tunghai University President Kuo-En Chang said that with sustainability as its development goal, Tunghai University has implemented policies themed " Tunghai University as a Future University" in 2022, including a student-centered goal-oriented learning approach, administrative reform, and an open university model that promotes flipped education. In addition, the university has proposed the Liberal Arts Education 4.0 Plan, which strengthens autonomous learning and exploration of the essence of liberal arts education, provides learning scaffolding, and encourages honor and mutual support among teachers and students. Tunghai University also emphasizes sustainability and cultivates students with rich humanities and scientific knowledge, making its students highly favored by the industry.
President Chang stated that Tunghai University places great importance on student employment. In the 2022 national announcement of university graduates who have been accepted into the top ten administrative categories of the national civil service exam within three years of graduation, Tunghai University was ranked among the top ten universities in Taiwan and third among private universities, alongside top universities such as National Taiwan University, National Chengchi University, and National Taiwan Normal University. In addition to its excellent performance in the administrative category, Tunghai University was also ranked third among private universities in the total number of candidates admitted to the national civil service exam.
President Kuo-En Chang reiterated that Tunghai University cultivates students' future citizen literacy and knowledge with a deep foundation in liberal arts, encouraging students to try new things and developing cross-domain expertise. Tunghai promotes career counseling through college-based programs, as well as offers career-related courses and interdisciplinary internships to assist students in completing their self-oriented learning and early preparation for the job market.
