Some people came for the peace of the mid-night worship service and others came for the 99+1 strokes of the bells or to pray for blessings in the coming year. Many Tunghai alumni also came back with their families and shared with them tirhe good memories of studying at Tunghai University. In addition, lots of tourists walked around the campus to experience the different activities and enjoy the atmosphere of Christmas.
This year, the installation art displays were designed with various technological aspects. On the Campus Mall, along the Time Capsule and Bell Tower, there were installation art displays named “The Road of Worship,” including “Angels report good news,” “Shepherd leads sheep,” “The three kings bring the gold,” “The worship of Frankincense and Myrrh,” “Jesus, born to love, in the manger,” and “The story of the star of David.” The installation art combined art, technology, religion, and emotions. On both sides of the Campus Mall, there were various images made by LED lights and visitors could scan the QR Code to know the meaning of each art piece.

When visitors walked through the Campus Mall, it appeared as if they were accompanied by angels, shepherds, and the three wise men on the Road of Worship to enjoy the delight of experiencing the birth of Jesus. On the second campus, the students from the Art Department also designed six artworks, which were placed beside the Department of Music and the Department of Management. Students combined their feeling and thoughts about the environment on campus, the diverse natural scenery, and the architecture to think about how to design artworks according to the topic “Born to love.”
Christmas Eve at Tunghai, finally, was filled with music. The choir of Gospel Music, Phonshins Guitar Club, Pop Music Club, Rock Music Club, etc. all had remarkable performances on that day.
