While the importance of personal learning, autonomous learning, and core competencies is beyond doubt, the lax in some regulations to reach university autonomy is also in urgent demand. Tunghai University was highly praised by other university presidents for its holistic education, good social responsibility performances, and promotion of AI research and teaching. President Wang said that the university is putting up resources in setting an Artificial Intelligence Center, making AI Logic and Computing a required course in Freshman year, actively developing AI manufacturing, AI healthcare, AI architecture design, and collaboration with industry.
