On December 8th, FLLD Chair Dr. Henk Vynckier introduced the characteristics and future development of the department. All courses are taught in English in small classes and there are other language courses such as German, French, and Spanish available for students. Each year, scholarships are provided to high-achieving freshman students. The visiting high-school students were guided to tour the landmark Luce Chapel and the campus Mall. International students from France, Mexico, Russia, the Philippines and Indonesia also joined to introduce architectural landmarks and characteristics of their respective countries.

On December 22nd, Long-Jin High School students of international education course visited Tunghai again for the ‘world feature festival culture’ session. The Tunghai PR office introduced campus installment art for Christmas and invited international students from France, Mexico, and the U.S.A to share how they spend Christmas in their home countries. Together, Tunghai international students and the high-schoolers made wooden models of milk cows and shared the story of the Chinese Zodiac before a memorable Christmas token was given to each of them. The unusual interaction created an unforgettable Christmas memory for the visiting students.
