The 15-million worth facility, installed by Inventec and the company-branded BESTA team, includes 20 pieces of RTX-8000 high-speed graphic cards and five multi-CPU high pulse computing servers. Each server is equipped with 768GB memories and two Intel Generation. 2 Xeon Gold extendable processors. The embedded Intel Deep Learning Boost function, with 4-times process efficiency than Generation. 1, works best for parallel computing and machine-learning. The donation also includes a hard-disk drive of 60 TB with full flash array and its software authorization.

With the donation, Tunghai University will be providing better services with upgraded cloud infrastructure, including cloud classrooms, cloud development platform, and high-efficiency computing platform. Instead of installing individual laboratory. servers, faculty members will be able to develop specific projects with a shared virtual cloud coding environment. Faculty members are encouraged to fully utilize the resource in their research and combine professional internship programs with topic research and problem-solving in industrial implementation. An estimated 15.78 million NTD will be added to the production value of the university with the upgraded cloud infrastructure.
